Smit je zajedno sa kolegom Džejmsom Grinom u žbunju u blizini dečjeg igrališta primetio glodara i dohvatio ga dugačkom metalnom “hvataljkom”.
Pretpostavio je da se ovo stvorenje otrovalo jer je u tom kraju nedvno postavljen otrov za pacove.
Odmah nakon postavljanja slike na društvenim mrežama povela se prava polemika oko njene verodostojnosti.
Tim povodom oglasio se i profesor Džejn Herst sa Univerziteta u Liverpulu koji tvrdi da ne postoji šansa da je pacov toliki kao ni da neko može da životinju tešku 11 kg "lagano" drži samo pomoću metalne “hvataljke”.
